For over two decades, I've been driven by one guiding question:
"How can we support communities to navigate change well?"

Though "well" means different things to
different communities and at different times,
that question continues to drive my work
with K-12 and higher education leaders who
are thoughtfully approaching generative AI
adoption.

What I have learned from engaging with
learning organizations of all types, is that
communities...
-
are feeling the tension between AI's
genuine potential and the practical realities
of time and resource constraints
-
have different levels of readiness with technology and change
-
are being inundated with solutions and tools with very little evidence of impact
-
are balancing the pressure to move forward with the responsibility to protect those in their care

Educational leaders share that they need:
-
Clear understanding about how AI is being used in their organization right now
-
Recommendations for how to update policies to include AI
-
A partner to help them develop impact assessments
-
Scenario planning and protocols to ensure high fidelity response when things go wrong
-
Ethical principles and clear processes to support coordinated and values- aligned decision-making
-
A simple, consistent way to evaluate risk

I work with educational leaders in three key areas:
-
Governance Practices: Creating governance frameworks, policies, and processes to support the human oversight and calibration required to build community trust
-
Implementation Readiness: Bridging the gaps between AI vision and everyday decision-making
-
Change Leadership Capability: Strengthening leadership approaches that bring people together, rather than leaving them behind
My service to learning communities spans more than twenty years, and includes roles ranging from classroom teacher to administrator, coach, and consultant. I am a certified AI Governance Officer and an affiliate partner of Kompass Education. Over the past three years, I have walked alongside schools and districts of all sizes to develop AI implementation readiness, build ethical frameworks, apply generative AI to instructional leadership practice, and develop micro credentials on rethinking assessment, policy, and leading AI adoption strategy. To date, my AI-related collaborations have helped over 700 educators and leaders in 30 countries around the world.
Is leading AI-related change with clarity, confidence, and care part of your next level of work?
